I find it hard to talk about myself in the first-person plural.
What purpose does “We” have in this scenario?

I have always loved languages.
I spoke early on and used to stand in front of the mirror at my grandmother’s house, pretending to speak all sort of things to imitate Australian foreigners living in her building.
Little did I know, I will end up speaking 7.

I live in Beirut, I have an amazing dog named Harvey, and I like to start my day with a double-espresso and rock-and-roll.
I walk 2 hours daily, run many times a week, and I practice my Muay Thai quite very religiously.

I am infatuated by language, and by the culture languages carry.
I have always been drawn to the East and SE Asia. This is where I am headed next.

Over time, I leaned more into my artistic side, and I started venturing into performance.
Out of this cogitation, rheaa.co was born—a blend of unconventional poetry, dragons, nāgas, red threads, destiny, and a lore of realms and universes awaiting to be discovered.

I am deeply connected with the people I work with. Hence the projects that I take on entrap great emotion and allow me to experience transformation and metamorphosis. For me to accept to work with you, the work should bring me joy and a sense of delight.

I consider language a medium of voyage, where the voicing out of every letter carries meaning.

I am the vessel of that meaning. Let’s work together.

This is my studio or, if you insist on the long name, RHÉA HLEIHEL-THE STUDIO®.

The name is an extension of my philosophy: “A word stands on its own and, on its own, is enough.”
My studio is a culture and language advisory, and a writing practice where I produce texts in ultrashort, short, and long form. I formed it to address a specific need: language infused with culture, instilled with meaning and authority in any environment, beyond the space and time in which it was written.

I understood early on that this type of practice requires a divergent structure, hence, a studio.
